My 1st Project!

My friend Jessica is always commenting on how much she loves my plain jane bulletin board hanging in my kitchen. Its nothing fancy, it has no theme or cute decorations. It does however have mementos, concert tickets, movie stubs, wedding and shower invitations, and a few random hanging knick-knacks. Crap---I just realized since I'm talking about this I should have taken a picture of MY board! I've lost my camera cord at the moment so maybe soon I will upload it! Anyways so a few months ago..think like APRIL, I had the idea of making Jessica one as a wedding/bachelorette gift. Well...I really didn't think it all through and I realized that I need to wait on making it because I would love to add bachelorette party, wedding, and any other random pictures we would take up to then. That being said, she didn't receive it on May 15th her wedding day, but more like a week after her June 12th birthday! =)

I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. Her favorite colors/prints are pink, black, zebra and polka dot with a dash of glam and Marilyn Monroe! I had built it all up in my mind, that by the time I actually got started on it, I was so stressed out! I AM NOT an artsy kind of person. I'm not that creative. I actually broke down crying because I couldn't get the damn hot glue gun to work!! Not a proud Bailey moment, trust me.

For some reason, I can't get it to turn around. It's saved on my computer the right way so who knows, you get the idea of it!

Start of a 3 Month Recap?

:::EDIT::: Obviously I do not blog enough because I can't get all of my pictures to load and align correctly so I can continue typing under the pictures. That being said, I will continue with more posts.. It's just going be broke up over numerous posts instead of one big gigantic one!

I'm watching the CMAs so I thought why not blog during commercials.

On that note, since so so so much has happened in the last 3 months..why not do good ol' fashion bullets, with pictures of course! =)

  • On March 29th, I was in a car accident and totaled the truck. I was fine except for a slight bruise on the forehead, and severe whiplash. I pretty much had a blowout on the highway going 65-70, plus I had the cruise control set. It could have been A LOT worse but according to the EMTs and police officer I was very lucky to be alive. The highway is a 4 laner and I happened to be in the middle lane eastbound; so when I tried to brake the truck of course jerked back and forth so I went off onto the shoulder, went back on the road but since I was going so fast I swerved all the way back to the left and hit the median on the driver side..THEN..I with the impact of that I swerved back over to the outside lane and spun in front of a FREAKING SEMI..and with that I ended up slamming against the median AGAIN and finally coming to a stop facing westbound! I was more shaken up than anything because I just remember a slight glimpse of the front of that semi truck. I was on the phone when it happened (YES, I know I shouldn't have been!) with my Grandma so she heard me say OMG! and the phone just went dead. So when the ambulance showed up I immediately told them and asked them to call her in Fort Smith and tell her I was alright. I am still grateful that the nice EMT lady called long distance for me and talked to my Grandma and calmed her down..by the way her and my Grandpa had already phoned the Tulsa Police because I didn't call right back. To make a long story short..the insurance company totaled it out yet it was still driveable so we went ahead and bought a used bed for it because even though the tire that caused the wreck was the back driver side tire..all the damage was on the passenger side of the bed because that's how I finally landed. So we finally have the truck back and I have started driving on highways again just not that particular one because I can still see the black marks on the median wall! So with all of that said, I am very thankful to have God watching over me that day, I could have died right there during noon traffic but God made sure that no other cars were involved. The truck honestly doesn't look that bad in the pictures.

Eli decided he wanted a cat. We have Gracie, but he felt that Gracie was more my dog because she always likes to cuddle and follow me around the apartment, but she's a Mama's girl what can I say? ;-) Just for the record, I'm scared of cats. I'm not sure why but they have always scared especially when they open their mouth. Well unfortunately I agreed he could have a cat because he was raised with plenty of them growing up and he promised to find a litterbox trained one. Well..he found a Seal-Point Siamese that was about a year old named Whisk. Luckily her and Gracie got along and played well, and they even took naps together which made me happy. The downfall was that she was a total attention whore and would do act up just because we weren't paying attention to her because we were getting dressed or cooking, just everything. Also, she would end up meowing and crying ALL night long so we had to get rid of her. I think she even started annoying Gracie those last few days together. Eli agreed we needed to find a new home for because he soon realized he was not a cat person anymore and Gracie was just enough for us. It just so happened, that ever since Whisk left, she has loved her Daddy even more! =)

    Future Baby Names

Show Us Your Life with Kelly's Korner
I hardly ever participate in Show Us Your Life hosted by Kelly, but this week I just couldn't resist! I've been obsessed with baby names since I was little and used to play school. I know it probably sounds weird, but hopefully I'm not the only one! =) I think I'm also a big fan of unique names because my name wasn't so popular back in the day!

I love so many names, but of course Eli will only agree on one or two. I suggested my absolutely favorite boys name to him, and after much thought he finally agreed he liked it too!! *DRUM ROLL PLEASE*

    Wyatt Walker

Girl names on the other hand are more challenging. There are just too many beautiful names! There is...

    Kennedy
Which I was supposed to be named but my dad wasnt a big fan, also..from the looks of other blogs Kennedy is a big hit at the moment.
    Mackenzie Mae
Eli's middle name is Mackenzie, and my grandmother's middle name is Mae; We both agree on this name!
    Tenley or Menley
They just seem so pretty and southern to me.
    Carolina
    Icy
My great-grandmother's name was Icy Gertrude; Eli really likes that name and as much as I loved my great-grandmother..I still can't completely warm up to it
    Georgia
    Emmalise
I've always loved the names Emma & Elise, so I figured why not combine them? I've met a few Annalises and it works for them!
    Emerson
    Maybe call her her Emmy!
    Rae
As a middle name only, they seem to work with all the names I like.

I think that about covers most of them! Hope you enjoy =)

    Walmart Parking Lot

Well we have made it to Easter. I just have to say that it is a BEAUTIFUL day out! It seems like every year its always cold, cloudy, and/or rainy. Not this year, my friend! =)

I've gotten a new camera, had some new adventures, and had a near death experience in the time I've been gone from the blog world. God has definitely been watching over me. Details are soon to come..I just wanted to do a quick update while I was reading my daily blogs.

We're currently in Fort Smith for Easter. I was lucky enough to be off work for about 4 days in a row. I need the money but I need my family a little more here lately. So fortunately, next week I work everyday! $$

    Have a wonderful Easter!!

This song reminds me of summer in high school and I ran across it and thought I'd share it!!

    25 Random Facts!

I saw this on Kimberly's blog and thought I'd do it also. It went around facebook not too long ago, and it was a big hit! I think its really interesting because sometimes you realize "hey! I do that also!" or something along those lines. REMEMBER...your never alone, someone can always relate in some way or another.
Just a WARNING!:: Some of my fact's ended up being mini-novels!! Sorry in advance! =)

    25 Random Facts
    • I go by my middle name. My first name is Linda, I think I honestly am a Bailey though!
    • I'm a huge 80's and 90s fan. Even though I lived in the 80s a month and 23 days, I love it! I love the music, the movies, the style, the actors, ect!
    • Aside from facebook, myspace, blogger, and the news. My favorite website is IMDB. Every new movie I watch or hear about, I search it on here! It has trivia, filming locations, goofs, soundtrack listings, and everything else you can imagine!
    • I just realized that so far all of my bullets and facts so far end in exclamation marks. I'm a fan of those also =)
    • I love concerts. They are so many that I have wanted to go to this year..my absolute favorite people are all performing within driving distance of me...5 minutes away to 5 hours away. Damn economy and low budgets! =( A few people I have seen in my 20 years is...George Strait, Billy Ray Cyrus, Pam Tillis, Gavin DeGraw, Bowling for Soup, Lonestar, Toby Keith, (are you noticing a favorite genre?) Switchfoot, Pat Green, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and Brad Paisley.
    • My food can't touch when its on my plate unless its mashed potatoes and corn.
    • I'm horrible about calling people back or pretty much calling people in general. Whether it be best friends, doctors, schools, bill collectors. So if you would like to talk to me then text me or pray that I'm available to answer the phone when you call! =/
    • I have to always read something before I go to sleep at night. It can be books, magazines, pamphlets, instructional manuals, anything!! Its really weird!
    • I'm horrible about taking pictures then not uploading them until months later. That's probably why I'm such a bad blogger!
    • Ever since I was little I've loved names. They fascinate me. I've had my future childrens name's picked out already!
    • I'm a sentimental sap. Ive been so homesick lately. I haven't made it home in a month, which is definitely a record for me. You are my hero if you live states away your family. I don't know how you all do it!
    • Since I've grown up on country music, I can flip radio stations and can always jump into the song and know all the words!
    • I'm adventurous in my own way. You won't see me skydiving, scuba diving, hang gliding, or running with the bulls anytime soon though! I love maps and I have to know where exactly I'm at and how I got there and back. When we first moved to Tulsa, Eli was working and I was just going to school; and he would give me money for food and spending money while he was at work. Well I ended up using that money for gas and would just drive all over town finding new things and exploring! I love it when we go for little drives, granted they aren't the heartwarming back roads in BFE that I'm used to back home but its okay! I can successfully say that I have been to the north, south, east and west sides of Tulsa.
    • I've never been to the beach and most of the time I have no desire too. It just seems to dangerous to me. I can't get through the whole movie of Jaws, the whole theme music to that makes my heart drop. I've been told that I could always hang out on the shore but then again..what if I get stung by a jellyfish? Bitten by a crab? Suddenly washed away with the waves?  There is just too much to stress about! LOL then again, I'm a past victim of 2nd degree sunburns. The sun and I aren't the best of friends, so maybe the beach wouldn't really mind if I'm not a fan either.
    • I used to be deathly shy! I have my first job to thank for that! I was a checker at a small IGA grocery store where everyone knew everyone and if you didn't it wouldnt take you long to! Well my boss James told me that I was going to have to greet everyone and get out of my shell. Well it didn't take me long before I was talking to everyone! Now I work at Target which a major retailer not just a local grocery store! I never would have thought I would greet and start conversation with that many strangers. I want to work with the public for the rest of my life! It's a funny thing to me because Eli is more the homebody/computer geek/anti social kind of person and I never thought that I would be with someone like this! I'm the social one. I make the plans for us to go out and do such and such. I have to take care of business on the phone. He just doesn't feel comfortable talking to people he doesn't know unless its through IMs or any other online messaging! 15
    • I've never seen all the classic Disney movies. If I saw one that I liked I would end up watching it over and over until my tape wore out. I continuously watched Mary Poppins, Cinderella, and Beauty & The Beast. I've never seen Bambi, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin, ect. They just never interested me. Once I found out that Bambi's momma died, I really didn't want to watch it!
    • While we're on the subject of movies, aside from the 3 I listed above. I remember always watching Steel Magnolias, Fried Green Tomatoes, Gone With the Wind, and To Kill A Mockingbird when I was younger. I would quote Steel Magnolias and have no idea what I would actually be saying. Looking back it's humorous! I don't want some people to read this and think I wasn't brought up right because I was, I just never was interested in kid movies when I was little.
    • I've been told that I'm an old woman in a 20 year old body. I like old movies, tv shows, magazines, memorabilia, clothing, cooking, ect. I;m content doing low-key things and being a homebody, clipping coupons and reading Good Housekeeping. Sometimes I think maybe I'm just trying to grow up to fast but then again this is just who I am and I can't change it! I'm not saying loud music, a few beers and good friends at the river doesn't sound fun =)
    • My food groups are Breads, Sweets, Fruits, Vegetables. Bad Combo I know! French Bread, Peach Cobbler, Banana Pudding, Watermelon, Strawberries, Fresh Broccoli, and all things Potatoes are the way to my heart.
    • I'm still learning my way through the kitchen on my own. I just can't cook like my Grandma and my Momma, and of course not like Eli's Grandma. I can bake though thats about it! HaHa! 20
    • I have waaaayy to many tv shows that take up my life. Desperate Housewives used to be really intense but now it's kind of died down this season. Greys Anatomy is crazy intense and I love it! Growing up my Mom loved ER and I just couldn't get into it. I really think Grey's is better! I'm a fan of Cougartown this year..Eli is a sweetheart and actually watches it with me on Wednesday night! It never fails to make Laugh Out Loud!! Also there is...Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Sex and the City, and of course the reruns of Roseanne & The Nanny!
    • A perfect summer day for me is riding in the truck with the windows down, country music blaring, my best friends, a cooler of drinks, and the grill down by the river!Hopefully I'll have a few perfect days this summer =)
    • I love diet coke, diet mountain dew, red bull, margaritas, and apple vodka.
    • I'm bipolar when it comes to cleaning and such. I will nag and nag until Eli helps me clean and pick up THEN when he starts helping and I completely lash out and criticize about how he isn't doing it right and he should just sit down and let me do it the right way. Its a sad episode. Somedays I'm down with it and then Somedays I'm crazy.
    • I think that if you read all of this and was entertained to say the least; then I owe you a Thank you! Hopefully you didn't find me too weird!
