25 Random Facts!

I saw this on Kimberly's blog and thought I'd do it also. It went around facebook not too long ago, and it was a big hit! I think its really interesting because sometimes you realize "hey! I do that also!" or something along those lines. REMEMBER...your never alone, someone can always relate in some way or another.
Just a WARNING!:: Some of my fact's ended up being mini-novels!! Sorry in advance! =)

25 Random Facts
  • I go by my middle name. My first name is Linda, I think I honestly am a Bailey though!
  • I'm a huge 80's and 90s fan. Even though I lived in the 80s a month and 23 days, I love it! I love the music, the movies, the style, the actors, ect!
  • Aside from facebook, myspace, blogger, and the news. My favorite website is IMDB. Every new movie I watch or hear about, I search it on here! It has trivia, filming locations, goofs, soundtrack listings, and everything else you can imagine!
  • I just realized that so far all of my bullets and facts so far end in exclamation marks. I'm a fan of those also =)
  • I love concerts. They are so many that I have wanted to go to this year..my absolute favorite people are all performing within driving distance of me...5 minutes away to 5 hours away. Damn economy and low budgets! =( A few people I have seen in my 20 years is...George Strait, Billy Ray Cyrus, Pam Tillis, Gavin DeGraw, Bowling for Soup, Lonestar, Toby Keith, (are you noticing a favorite genre?) Switchfoot, Pat Green, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and Brad Paisley.
  • My food can't touch when its on my plate unless its mashed potatoes and corn.
  • I'm horrible about calling people back or pretty much calling people in general. Whether it be best friends, doctors, schools, bill collectors. So if you would like to talk to me then text me or pray that I'm available to answer the phone when you call! =/
  • I have to always read something before I go to sleep at night. It can be books, magazines, pamphlets, instructional manuals, anything!! Its really weird!
  • I'm horrible about taking pictures then not uploading them until months later. That's probably why I'm such a bad blogger!
  • Ever since I was little I've loved names. They fascinate me. I've had my future childrens name's picked out already!
  • I'm a sentimental sap. Ive been so homesick lately. I haven't made it home in a month, which is definitely a record for me. You are my hero if you live states away your family. I don't know how you all do it!
  • Since I've grown up on country music, I can flip radio stations and can always jump into the song and know all the words!
  • I'm adventurous in my own way. You won't see me skydiving, scuba diving, hang gliding, or running with the bulls anytime soon though! I love maps and I have to know where exactly I'm at and how I got there and back. When we first moved to Tulsa, Eli was working and I was just going to school; and he would give me money for food and spending money while he was at work. Well I ended up using that money for gas and would just drive all over town finding new things and exploring! I love it when we go for little drives, granted they aren't the heartwarming back roads in BFE that I'm used to back home but its okay! I can successfully say that I have been to the north, south, east and west sides of Tulsa.
  • I've never been to the beach and most of the time I have no desire too. It just seems to dangerous to me. I can't get through the whole movie of Jaws, the whole theme music to that makes my heart drop. I've been told that I could always hang out on the shore but then again..what if I get stung by a jellyfish? Bitten by a crab? Suddenly washed away with the waves?  There is just too much to stress about! LOL then again, I'm a past victim of 2nd degree sunburns. The sun and I aren't the best of friends, so maybe the beach wouldn't really mind if I'm not a fan either.
  • I used to be deathly shy! I have my first job to thank for that! I was a checker at a small IGA grocery store where everyone knew everyone and if you didn't it wouldnt take you long to! Well my boss James told me that I was going to have to greet everyone and get out of my shell. Well it didn't take me long before I was talking to everyone! Now I work at Target which a major retailer not just a local grocery store! I never would have thought I would greet and start conversation with that many strangers. I want to work with the public for the rest of my life! It's a funny thing to me because Eli is more the homebody/computer geek/anti social kind of person and I never thought that I would be with someone like this! I'm the social one. I make the plans for us to go out and do such and such. I have to take care of business on the phone. He just doesn't feel comfortable talking to people he doesn't know unless its through IMs or any other online messaging! 15
  • I've never seen all the classic Disney movies. If I saw one that I liked I would end up watching it over and over until my tape wore out. I continuously watched Mary Poppins, Cinderella, and Beauty & The Beast. I've never seen Bambi, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin, ect. They just never interested me. Once I found out that Bambi's momma died, I really didn't want to watch it!
  • While we're on the subject of movies, aside from the 3 I listed above. I remember always watching Steel Magnolias, Fried Green Tomatoes, Gone With the Wind, and To Kill A Mockingbird when I was younger. I would quote Steel Magnolias and have no idea what I would actually be saying. Looking back it's humorous! I don't want some people to read this and think I wasn't brought up right because I was, I just never was interested in kid movies when I was little.
  • I've been told that I'm an old woman in a 20 year old body. I like old movies, tv shows, magazines, memorabilia, clothing, cooking, ect. I;m content doing low-key things and being a homebody, clipping coupons and reading Good Housekeeping. Sometimes I think maybe I'm just trying to grow up to fast but then again this is just who I am and I can't change it! I'm not saying loud music, a few beers and good friends at the river doesn't sound fun =)
  • My food groups are Breads, Sweets, Fruits, Vegetables. Bad Combo I know! French Bread, Peach Cobbler, Banana Pudding, Watermelon, Strawberries, Fresh Broccoli, and all things Potatoes are the way to my heart.
  • I'm still learning my way through the kitchen on my own. I just can't cook like my Grandma and my Momma, and of course not like Eli's Grandma. I can bake though thats about it! HaHa! 20
  • I have waaaayy to many tv shows that take up my life. Desperate Housewives used to be really intense but now it's kind of died down this season. Greys Anatomy is crazy intense and I love it! Growing up my Mom loved ER and I just couldn't get into it. I really think Grey's is better! I'm a fan of Cougartown this year..Eli is a sweetheart and actually watches it with me on Wednesday night! It never fails to make Laugh Out Loud!! Also there is...Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Sex and the City, and of course the reruns of Roseanne & The Nanny!
  • A perfect summer day for me is riding in the truck with the windows down, country music blaring, my best friends, a cooler of drinks, and the grill down by the river!Hopefully I'll have a few perfect days this summer =)
  • I love diet coke, diet mountain dew, red bull, margaritas, and apple vodka.
  • I'm bipolar when it comes to cleaning and such. I will nag and nag until Eli helps me clean and pick up THEN when he starts helping and I completely lash out and criticize about how he isn't doing it right and he should just sit down and let me do it the right way. Its a sad episode. Somedays I'm down with it and then Somedays I'm crazy.
  • I think that if you read all of this and was entertained to say the least; then I owe you a Thank you! Hopefully you didn't find me too weird!

I'm lagging in the Blogging Department =(

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why I'm not able to blog. Its just beyond me! I go back every so often and look at my Xanga account..I pretty much blogged my way through high school! Its crazy! I think maybe it was easier back then because you knew alot of people online. Whether it was through school, church, sporting events, ect; You knew who was reading your blog! I read awhile back on someone's blog that to them the blogging community was like a high school. You have to put yourself out there to meet people, but I have to admit it's kind of hard for this shy girl!  I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you happen to stop by my page..please leave a comment, even just to say HELLO! =) or give me some ideas and suggestions to blog about! lol
I'm getting better though, I have commented on a few people's blog so I'm slowly getting the hang of all of this again!

I just wish I had something to get me started! Alot of people, start blogs because they are newly married, just had a baby, or just graduated and starting their new life. Well I happen to just be in the middle! My life is pretty much the daily ups and downs of an engaged couple trying to make it on our own!

Anyways, this is my 2nd post for this month. Maybe I will it 3 this week!

2009 in Review

I'd like to first say that I am beyond thankful that I spent another year with the ones I love dearly. I love my family so much, and my friends also!! They are the ones that I dont have to put up with me but they do anyways! =)

2009 definitely had its ups and downs. I just have to keep telling myself that things happen for a reason, I just have to have faith that good will come from some of it!!

  • January/March- Nothing too exciting happened in our lives, Eli lost his job and we survived off of my itty bitty bakery paycheck and we were okay! We made it through the first of many tough times. I was also in my 2nd semester of college in NSU!
April- Eli got a job in Tulsa and he moved to Tulsa without me.
  • May- School ended, I packed up the rest of our stuff and moved to Tulsa also. We also got our furry child, Gracie. She is an absolute delight. She brightens our hearts everyday. Gracie is completely spoiled but we love her and she is our baby. She acts like a little child. She is 2 years old.
  • June/July- I commuted to Tahlequah for summer classes and I began looking for a job.
  • August- I finally landed a job at Tar-Jay! Within 3 days...I started work, started my 3rd semester of college, and we moved into a much a bigger apartment!
  • September- We were finally on our feet and officially getting used to being grownups. Considering in Tahlequah, our families were supporting us for the most part financially.
  • October- Eli and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary and 5 years of knowing each other! =) We also officially set a wedding date. NOVEMBER 27th, 2010! <3
  • November- I had to withdrawal from school for some personal reasons. Even though I felt it was the thing I had to do at the moment and I felt that everything happens for a reason. It still breaks my heart that I'm not in school. I feel like such a failure sometimes. Eli, my family, and my friends who know have been supportive and assure me all the time that I will return soon. God, I hope so!
  • December- We are finally getting the hang of managing our money and making responsible decisions. Eli's friend Max moved in with us temporarily until he can find a job. Max lost his job, so Eli told him that there are better job opportunities up here. Luckily within a couple of weeks he got a job at Dish Network and training starts after the New Year. He will be back tomorrow!
Here's to 2010! I hope it is wonderful and I want nothing more than health and happiness for my family and friends. I would be completely lost without my family. I'm also excited for this time next year because next new years I will be ringing it in as Mrs. Eli Williams!!!!! Aww, I'm so excited!!

Update!!!

Okay, well I tend to babble on forever and I didnt think I had that much to update on but I really do soooo...I'm just going to bullet it! (GASP!) try at least! =)

  • I finally finally got a job! I work at the new Target that just opened up. Its the biggest in town! Its huge! Anyways I am on the Guest Services Team, which I love because I love talking and meeting new people. Target customers are the greatest!
  • I finally got my wisdom teeth out. I had been having trouble with them for months, and I just now got my insurance and things taken care so I could go. I love soups, but I was so tired of eating them. Mom came up here to stay with me the day of, well the day before she hurt her knee so she was on crutches. Of course, she didnt tell me any of this until she made the drive up here. She knew that if she told me I would have made her stay home! I felt bad for Eli because he was taking care of me and then he would help my mom up and down the stairs at our apartment! Anyway it turned out well! The week after surgery, I was so mean to Eli. He tried to take care of me and wait on me hand and foot and I was just so upset and hungry so I decided to take it out on everyone else. Anyways we quickly made up. Just last week, we went to Texas Roadhouse to eat because I was feeling alot better! He surprised me when he made me soft foods. He will be embarrassed I put it on here but he does sweet things so randomly I have to gush about it! =)
  • Labor Day weekend some of my family from Memphis, came to see all of us in Fort Smith, so Eli and I drove down there to visit with them! Uncle Bobby & Aunt Frances are my grandma's brother and sister-in-law, LeeAnn is their daughter, and Marley is the great-grand baby! She is absolutely adorable, and I just wanted to take her back to Oklahoma with me. I think she would have went too! I have alot of pictures but I will just put my favorites! She loved Eli's spaghetti, she was ready for a nap afterwards.
  • I went to Fort Smith because my mom and her friends were throwing a garage sale. I was so excited because I was putting in a brand new partician that Eli and I had bought for our apartment but it wouldnt stand on our kind of carpet so we never used it. I was sure someone would buy it! Its gorgeous, but no takers. I was also selling our bar stools since we didnt need them in our new place, they are in great condition, they are made of a heavy wood with nice backs on them. Once again, no takers. A girl I went to school with bought them though, so they are going to a good home. If you would like a partician, leave me a comment and I will post a picture! Its about 6 feet tall, black and dark red with wood frame, it has a chinese them to it, but I dont really see it, the flowers and artwork on it remind me of orchids! Its really pretty, I wish we had a place for it. We paid $100 for it, but we are asking $50-75 for it. Its been unfolded probably 3 times. For the past 2 years, its been leaning against a wall unused! Trust me, your getting a good deal!
  • Also while I was in town, I met up with Sam & Max and finally got to meet Aiden! He is just as precious too! I didnt get a good picture of him though. I will next week though!
  • Last but not least....WE ARE GETTING MARRIED! Eli and I have finally decided to choose a date and just do it! We have decided on November 27th, 2010. We really like the idea of a fall wedding, anyway you do it, it will always be beautiful. At first, we were going to go to Hot Springs, Arkansas and getting married outside at a Bed & Breakfast, The 1890 Williams House Inn. Which I think is gorgeous, homey, laid-back, and everything I'm looking for. The downside is we would have the reception when we got back, and not that many people would want to travel since its Thanksgiving weekend, even though its only 2 hours. So we have decided to just go ahead and get married at the church, it would be alot easier for people and my family. No location is absolutely official, so we will most likely change our minds by January. I just want a stressfree wedding with no drama coming from either sides of our family. (His grandparents, My aunt and uncles) So hopefully our day will go as planned and everyone will be happy. I have alot more to discuss about the wedding, but thats for a whole new post!
I hope everyone has a great weekend! My weekend will start Monday at 4pm. I'm going to Fort Smith for my birthday. Its Tuesday! =)

Until next time..
